Students at Florida State University say that living in a Ragans Hall Campus Apartment is one of the best on campus living choices you can make – if you have to live on campus.

It’s pretty much the only acceptable on campus housing for upperclassmen, as they generally find FSU off campus housing in Tallassee after their freshman year at FSU.

The only few issues with Ragans Hall are its costs and paper-thin walls. Since you’re getting pretty much the nicest living conditions on campus, you’ll obviously pay a premium, a cost that might even be higher than getting a place off campus.

However, for what you get, students say it’s worth it. As for the walls, their thin structure can make it hard to study and get work done as you can hear what’s going on in your neighbor’s place. Other than those issues, living in a Ragans Hall Campus Apartment is much better living conditions relative to the older, lower quality freshman dorms on campus.

Did you live at Ragans? We want to know what you heard through those paper thin walls . Actually, we’d rather hear you voice your opinion about Ragans in the comment section below.

The McCollum Hall Campus Apartment is something a Florida State University student either loves or hates. There’s really no gray area in between.

McCollum Hall provides pretty much what a student looks for in off campus housing while still having the benefits of living on campus that would help you succeed as a student. You get a pretty good amount of living space here that you share. On top of that you get a balcony and pretty big common area for having a good number of people over. Also, storage problems you had in the smaller dorms are no longer an issue here as you have much bigger closet space and more rooms to store your stuff.

Despite that off campus feel at McCollum Hall, you won’t need to deal with a landlord and necessities like the library and cafeteria are just a short distance away. However, you still have to be careful and follow all the on campus rules and regulations.

You pretty much get the best of both worlds living in a McCollum Hall Campus Apartment. Still, a lot of people prefer to live in Tallahassee apartments near FSU.

What say you? On campus or off campus FSU apartments – which is the better choice? Leave your comments below.

Built in 2007, Wildwood Hall is one of the newest dorms on campus, so expect living there to cost more, but you do get a much bigger living space and much better living conditions compared to the cheaper, older dorms at Florida State University.

The rooms are really that nice in Wildwood dormitory, although the way the rooms are set up can hamper your social experience at Wildwood Hall. Since these rooms are suites, students here tend to do their own thing and stick to their smaller groups rather than venture out in more common areas to hang out and socialize with a larger group of people. As a result, students don’t consider this as one of the more fun dorm buildings on campus.

Of course, Wildwood Hall provides a really nice environment for people who would much rather hang out with a small group and spend a good portion of their time getting work done.

Were you lucky enough to live in Wildwood? Then leave a review. Did we capture the essence of the place?

Another one of those older, run-down dorms with fun people, Smith Hall provides a great experience for many first year students at Florida State University.

Since it’s an older, lower quality dorm, Smith Hall is one of the cheapest available. It’s a great place, however, for people on a budget who want to meet some other fun freshmen. That’s something to keep in mind.

The dorm rooms are pretty small, so this is one of the many reasons that students at Smith Hall tend to stay away from their rooms all day and socialize in other Florida State University campus locations during their free time. This is one of the ways you can end up meeting other really fun and interesting people in the dorm.

Although this building isn’t in as good living conditions as the recently refurbished dorms on campus, you do get a nice bathroom down the hall that is cleaned by the staff so it’s one less thing you need to worry about. Smith Hall is another good quality freshman year dorm.

Did you live in Smith Hall? Then leave a review below. Thanks.

Salley Hall isn’t one of the newly renovated dorms with the updated amenities that students flock to.

Regardless, students at Florida State University still love Salley Hall for its community and people. It is known as one of the more social dormitories at FSU, so if you like being around amicable people and hanging out, then this might be a great place to live for you.

The warm weather can really bring out the worst in this dorm, as the older, moldy walls and ceilings can start to smell. The rooms aren’t the biggest on campus either, although their closets do provide ample space for your belongings.

Despite these shortcomings, Salley Hall is still a memorable place to live for FSU freshmen of many years, as it has to do with the people there. Even though it does sound like a really social atmosphere, you can still work hard on your GPA at one of Salley Hall’s many study halls.

Did you do Salley? No, no – get your mind out of the gutter. I meant, did you live at Salley Hall? If yes, write a review below. Potential FSU freshman would love to hear your unbiased review.

Reynolds Hall is another great overall place for freshman Florida State University students.

Reynolds has a low-key environment that is nothing like the ruckus at DeGraff Hall, so you can get some high quality study hours in the Reynolds Hall study areas. It’s another great experience for those students at Florida State University who want a solid balance between meeting new people and setting aside time to get some serious work for classes done.

This hall does host its own socials as well as campus-wide joint socials, so you can still have a great time when you’re not studying.

The only downsides to Reynolds Hall involve the need to clean your and your suite mates’ own bathroom. Also a lack of convenient parking. Parking spots for Reynolds Hall resident students is near the library, which is generally packed due to its high-traffic location. The library buys at FSU? Really? Who knew, right?

To sum things up, Burt Reynolds Hall is a great living space for students who want to study in peace while having a social life as well.

You can call Landis Hall “Hotel Landis” as many of the students like to call it. This is due to the really nice dorm rooms this building has.

It’s mainly for freshman honors students, so don’t expect a loud and wild environment here. If you happen to be someone who is very serious about your studies, this is an excellent dorm to get into. Quiet, courtesy hours are upheld in this dorm 24/7, so unless you unluckily get a bad roommate, you have pretty much the perfect environment to get work done and study for your classes.

In Landis Hall, you’ll be living alongside mostly freshman, so you do miss out on the experience of living with some upperclassmen who can help show you the ropes during your first year. It’s not really considered cool, however, for upperclassmen to be living on campus, as they generally find their own off campus apartments near FSU after freshman year.

So for the studious types, Landis Hall is perfect.

Are you the Honors type that lived and Landis and is a good writer? Prove it. Leave a comment below and review your former dorm.

There are good things and bad things to be said about living at Kellum Hall.

Some of the bad things about the dorm really deal with the facilities themselves. This is one of the oldest buildings on campus, so in terms of how the place looks and your comfort, Kellum Hall doesn’t really score high.

However, for what this dormitory lacks in comfort and aesthetics, in more than makes up for in its community. Kellum Hall has one of the friendliest groups of students on campus, so if you are assigned to the dorm, you can pretty much consider yourself lucky. You’ll have a great experience living here, despite the living conditions. One student said that you pretty much have all your life to live in really nice living quarters, but only during your four years at Florida State University can you live with such a great community of people.

The decision is yours. You can either live in a recently renovated dorm or you can sacrifice your living conditions for the really awesome dorm community at Kellum Hall.

Have you lived at Kellum Hall? Yes? Then leave a comment and a review below.
